We are looking for a proactive, full-time Audit Department Assistant. The Audit Department Assistant will provide exceptional administrative and tax audit support to Tax Professionals and other functional areas of the Audit Department. You will be an integral part of helping TaxAudit fulfill our mission of providing the best income tax audit representation while minimizing the stress involved.

 
Key Objectives and Results:
  • Work collaboratively with team members to provide exceptional administrative support to the Audit Department, ensuring that all work is aimed at providing the best audit defense and membership experience.

  • Organize case files and documents accurately and securely. 
  • Use exceptional time management to ensure that the team provides high value at a low cost to our members.
 
 Essential Functions and Skills:
  • Recreates filed Federal and State income tax returns
  • Creates proforma income tax returns
  • Prepares bank deposit analyses
  • Prepares Federal and State POAs
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to effectively prioritize and manage duties
  • Ability to focus on detail and accuracy
  • Excellent and effective communication skills making sure understanding is achieved
  • Competent in Word and Excel programs
  • Customer Service Oriented

The primary benefit our members receive is Audit Representation for any income tax audit commenced during their period of membership. This includes handling all aspects of communication, from the receipt of the audit notice through the appeals hearing following the submission of a U.S. Tax Court Petition. Our intention is to provide our members with the highest level of representation available, and our goal is that they should never have to meet with the IRS or state tax agency.

Essential Functions 
  • Manage federal and state tax audit defense case load, which includes: 
    • Working with the taxpayer to assist in gathering documents and information  
    • Organizing documents and preparing response packages for submission to IRS and state taxing authorities

Experience and Skills

Our Human Resources Department is looking for an experienced, dynamic, successful HR Rep to compliment and elevate our team. The HR Rep executes various Human Resources functions to ensure legal compliance and the positive engagement of all employees.
 
KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESULTS:
  • Be a dependable resource to management, other departments, and all team members regarding benefit programs, payroll, policies and procedures, and all HR related programs.
  • Human Resources and employee records and communication will be managed in a confidential manner, adhering to all company standards and government requirements.
  • Information in the HRIS, such as  demographics, compensation, employee status, and benefits, will be complete, current, and accurate.
  • Accurate and timely reports will be created, generated and distributed as requested or required.
  • Safety programs, materials, and inspections will be compliant, thorough and timely.  
  • Employee questions and concerns regarding leaves of absence are thoughtfully addressed and the proper documentation is provided within the correct timeframes.
  • Actively seeks out and maintains knowledge of current HR laws and regulations.
  • Be an ambassador for our company, actively modeling and promoting the core purpose and core values of the company
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Process payroll timely and accurately, including follow up reporting.
  • Benefit administration, which consists of enrollment, change reporting, reconciling invoices for payment processing.
  • Support the coordination of the hiring and selection process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, contacting prospective candidates, initial telephone screening interviews, and being a member of interview panels.
  • Coordinate and participate in New Employee Orientation and Onboarding such that the new employee feels welcomed and well educated regarding who we are as a company and what to expect.
  • Actively participate, in project-related work groups, HR projects and audits.
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:       
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources administration, including   payroll, benefits administration and leave administration.

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for leading medium to large scale technology focused projects under the direction of the IT Manager. The IT Project Manager will adhere to and implement best practices and proven methodologies to ensure timely and effective delivery of project deliverables.
 
Key Objectives and Results: 

As a successful IT Project Manager, you will:
  • Act as project manager on assigned Information Technology projects, providing a single point of contact to project teams, steering committees, and stakeholders.
  • Guide projects from original concept through final implementation by developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, project scope definitions, and status reports.
  • Lead the process of communicating with team members and stakeholders and defining/understanding business requirements for various projects as needed.
  • Effectively communicate and work with the IT staff, cross-functional project teams and external resources as needed to ensure that business requirements are understood and fully realized during the project.
  • Have working operational knowledge of Microsoft Office (365), Project, Visio, Deployments, Cloud Migrations, application installations, and IT system feature enhancements.
  • Understand IT-related projects: server hardware & storage, networking hardware & services, and IT services (email, software applications, architecture, desktops, security, infrastructure, etc.).
  •  Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues, and risks will affect projects working with departments, management and the project sponsor to gain agreement for resolution.
  • Develop and execute a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed. Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to the Project Team and IT Department manager.

We are looking for a remote Outside Representative who is passionate about helping others and shares our values of caring for people, having a positive attitude and being dedicated to the team.
 
As an Outside Representative you will be responsible for handling any audit assigned by our Audit Division, from assignment to resolution or reassignment internally. We will review each audit notice and tax return prior to assignment and will discuss any issues that may be relevant to the representation when the audit is assigned to you. If any out of town travel is required, we will reimburse preapproved expenses. If additional research is required, we will provide that research in addition to assisting you with any questions or concerns that occur throughout the course of the audit. Representation does not include preparing books and records, or preparing and amending tax returns.

RESOURCE MANAGER
The Audit Department is the largest member facing department at TaxAudit. Our tax professionals are committed to helping others and providing our members with the finest income tax audit representation and the best taxpayer education available while minimizing the stress involved in dealing with the IRS or any tax authority. The Audit Department Resource Manager has a significant responsibility, fostering an environment where the team will “love where we work” while empowering them to perform at the highest level and to accomplish their individual and team goals.

  • Maintain and exceed customer service standards to meet partner requirements ensuring that TaxAudit remains “Intuit’s forever partner”
