We are looking for full-time, highly motivated Income Tax Audit Representatives who will provide excellent tax advice and expertise to our members while working alongside some of the most knowledgeable tax experts in the field in a team oriented supportive environment.  
The primary benefit our members receive is Audit Representation for any income tax audit commenced during their period of membership. This includes handling all aspects of communication, from the receipt of the audit notice through the appeals hearing following the submission of a U.S. Tax Court Petition. Our intention is to provide our members with the highest level of representation available, and our goal is that they should never have to meet with the IRS or state tax agency. 

Key Results and Outcomes
  • Provide members with the finest income tax audit representation and the best taxpayer education available while minimizing the stress involved in dealing with the IRS or any tax authority
Essential Functions 
  • Manage federal and state tax audit defense case load, which includes: 
    • Working with the taxpayer to assist in gathering documents and information  
    • Organizing documents and preparing response packages for submission to IRS and state taxing authorities 
    • Drafting correspondence  
    • Discussing cases and tax law with IRS and state agents 
  •  Provide support work on team members’ audit cases 
Experience and Skills 
  • ​Minimum 3 – 6 years of tax experience  
  • Must retain active credentials for:  EA, CPA, or Attorney    
  • Extensive knowledge of tax laws
  • A resourceful style with good instincts about when to work independently and when to leverage support
  • Ability to communicate clearly in the explanation of tax-related issues 
  • Customer Service oriented with impeccable professionalism   
  • Excellent written and verbal skills

The Budget and Finance Department ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying and reconciling transactions resulting in accurate financial reporting and analysis while adhering to the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).  The Junior Accountant has diversified responsibilities, supporting overall Budget and Finance operations and goals, providing exceptional customer service to our executives and team members, and impacting the growth of our company. 

 

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESULTS: 

  • Be a dependable resource regarding financial reporting transactions 

  • Budget and Finance transactions will be managed confidentially and professionally, adhering to company standards and requirements 

  • Facilitate accurate and timely monthly and annual procedures  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Be an ambassador for our company, actively modeling and promoting the core purpose and core values of the company 

  • Prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and diligently follow up on time-critical issues

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 

  • Understanding of accounting theory 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications 

  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines and issue financial information in a timely manner 

  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and time manage workload 

  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives 

  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility with changing priorities  

  • Evidence of being a team player and supportive colleague with strong interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, problem solving and results 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance 

  • 1+ years relevant job experience in an accounting position 

  • Must possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; successfully utilizing advanced features (macros, pivots, lookup functions, and data tables) 

  • Understanding of GAAP  

  • Experience with ERP application software; Epicor v10, XLConnect, and SQL a plus

We are looking for a remote Outside Representative who is passionate about helping others and shares our values of caring for people, having a positive attitude and being dedicated to the team.
 
As an Outside Representative you will be responsible for handling any audit assigned by our Audit Division, from assignment to resolution or reassignment internally. We will review each audit notice and tax return prior to assignment and will discuss any issues that may be relevant to the representation when the audit is assigned to you. If any out of town travel is required, we will reimburse preapproved expenses. If additional research is required, we will provide that research in addition to assisting you with any questions or concerns that occur throughout the course of the audit. Representation does not include preparing books and records, or preparing and amending tax returns.

Essential Functions:

  • Utilize any electronic case management or case tracking system used by TaxAudit
  • Follow all procedures and utilize all resources TaxAudit shall establish or provide for the transmission, communication and protection of Confidential Member Information
  • Organizing documents and preparing response packages for submission to IRS and state taxing authorities
  • Drafting correspondence and discussing cases and tax law with IRS and state agents
 Qualifications:
  • EA, CPA or Attorney
  • 3-6 years of experience representing taxpayers before the IRS and local tax agencies
  • Competence in tax law knowledge
  • Working knowledge of how the IRS is organized and how audit and appeals issues are handled
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate clearly in the explanation of tax related issues
  • Intermediate to Strong Computer Skills

Objectives and Key Results: 

As a successful Senior Systems Engineer, you will:
  • Deploy, manage, and maintain IT systems and their corresponding or associated software, including; on premise server systems, cloud hosted (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) systems, and virtualization platforms.
  • Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure TaxAudit services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices.
  • Exercise creative thinking, and ideation to advance IT system performance.
  • Deliver innovative, flexible, and secure integrated solutions to meet changing business needs.
  • Successfully work with Executives, Project Managers, System Administrators, InfoSec, Network Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, System Testers, Desktop Support Technicians, and end users in the implementation of small and large IT solutions.

   Job Requirements:
 
  • Must actively represent and promote the mission, culture, and core values of the company.
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional IT certification(s) strongly preferred, such as MCSE, VCP, Cloud Platform certification, or other industry certifications i.e. Cisco, Microsoft, VMware.
  • At least eight years’ experience in administering state-of-the art information technology systems within a virtualized Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Must be very familiar with various server and cloud systems (SQL, IIS, AD, DHCP, DNS, Exchange, etc., AWS, O365, Azure).
  • Jedi-like technical skills in Active Directory, group policy, and AzureAD.
  • Be proactive in identifying, investigating, and resolving issues before they cause an outage event.
  • Participate in the creation of documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures) under the direction of the IT Manager, where appropriate.
  • Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT infrastructure industry including awareness of new or revised IT solutions, improved processes, and the development of new platforms to continually improve our IT systems.
  • Provide on-call support for the IT Infrastructure.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple related projects, including troubleshooting, operations, and maintenance of the enterprise in a team environment.
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task, while responding to changing business demands. 
  • You have 8+ years in System Administration.
  • You love troubleshooting application issues alongside the development team.
  • You love sharing knowledge and mentoring others.
  • You love automating manual processes by using scripting, software, or by doing it a better way.
  • Your network troubleshooting abilities are out of this world.
