Income Tax Professional

We are looking for an exceptional, experienced income tax professional, preferably with audit representation experience, who will provide excellent service, including tax preparation, tax advice and audit representation to our clients and members.
 
Key Objectives and Results:
 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by anticipating customer needs and considering the impact of decisions on the customer
  • Prepare or assist in preparing simple to complex tax returns for individuals or small businesses
  • Conduct thorough interviews and review financial records such as income statements, documentation of expenditures and previous tax returns to ensure correct tax form completion
  • Identify potential tax credits and liabilities and ensure accurate and complete returns are filed in a timely manner. Complete all related tax forms in accordance with policies, and in compliance with legislation and regulations
  • Ensure the confidentiality of each client by following all company procedures regarding information handling
  • Successfully and efficiently manage federal and state income tax audit defense cases, including:
    • Working with the taxpayer to assist in gathering documents and information
    • Organizing documents and preparing response packages for submission to IRS and state taxing authorities
    • Drafting correspondence
    • Discussing cases and tax law with IRS and state agents
  • Customers will experience your patience, professionalism, integrity and sincerity as you help them
 
Requirements and expectations:
 
  • Customer Service oriented with impeccable professionalism
  • Knowledge of tax law, legal codes, precedents, government regulations and Internal Revenue Service rules
  • 4-5 years of experience of tax preparation
  • Current PTIN; EA, CPA or Attorney certification required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • A resourceful style with good instincts about when to work independently and when to  leverage support
  • Experience with Lacerte Tax Preparation software preferred

 Job Summary:
 
As a Membership Services Representative, you are the voice of our company, the first point of contact, the first opportunity to wow our members and provide exceptional support to them, and to our audit teams and other departments. You will be an integral part of helping TaxAudit fulfill our mission of providing the best income tax audit representation and the best taxpayer education available while minimizing the stress involved. This is a seasonal position with the possibility of regular full-time employment.

Essential Functions:
 
  • Thoroughly explain and sell TaxAudit products
  • Understand and follow the department and company processes and procedures
  • Resolve basic customer concerns
  • Transfer calls to the appropriate party
  • Assist members and team mates
  • Perform detailed database updates and order entry
  • Identify trends and report them to Leads
 
Job Qualifications:
 
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to understand and follow complex processes using computer applications, MS Office products, internet navigation, and data entry. The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment is a must. Minimum 2 years of full-time experience in administrative skills such as data entry, filing, copying, telecommunications, etc. 2-3 years of customer service experience working in a call queue environment is preferred.

Objectives and Key Results: 

As a successful Senior Systems Engineer, you will:
  • Deploy, manage, and maintain IT systems and their corresponding or associated software, including; on premise server systems, cloud hosted (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) systems, and virtualization platforms.
  • Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure TaxAudit services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices.
  • Exercise creative thinking, and ideation to advance IT system performance.
  • Deliver innovative, flexible, and secure integrated solutions to meet changing business needs.
  • Successfully work with Executives, Project Managers, System Administrators, InfoSec, Network Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, System Testers, Desktop Support Technicians, and end users in the implementation of small and large IT solutions.
  • Further our culture of enjoyable excellence by being part of a focused, flexible, and fun team of experts who work well with their team members and across the organization.
  • Demonstrate vigilance by responding to outages, tuning procedures and systems, and by taking the initiative and fixing issues before they are found.  
   Job Requirements:
 
  • Must actively represent and promote the mission, culture, and core values of the company.
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional IT certification(s) strongly preferred, such as MCSE, VCP, Cloud Platform certification, or other industry certifications i.e. Cisco, Microsoft, VMware.
  • At least eight years’ experience in administering state-of-the art information technology systems within a virtualized Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Must be very familiar with various server and cloud systems (SQL, IIS, AD, DHCP, DNS, Exchange, etc., AWS, O365, Azure).
  • Jedi-like technical skills in Active Directory, group policy, and AzureAD.
  • Be proactive in identifying, investigating, and resolving issues before they cause an outage event.
  • Participate in the creation of documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures) under the direction of the IT Manager, where appropriate.
  • Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT infrastructure industry including awareness of new or revised IT solutions, improved processes, and the development of new platforms to continually improve our IT systems.
  • Provide on-call support for the IT Infrastructure.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple related projects, including troubleshooting, operations, and maintenance of the enterprise in a team environment.
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task, while responding to changing business demands. 
  • You have 8+ years in System Administration.
  • You love troubleshooting application issues alongside the development team.
  • You love sharing knowledge and mentoring others.
  • You love automating manual processes by using scripting, software, or by doing it a better way.
  • Your network troubleshooting abilities are out of this world.
  • You love talking to strangers on the phone or in person.
